He Loves G strings too: A strings and his African Dance Violin Music

A Strings has another Violin cover out this week. The Nigeria Got Talent Season 2 second runner-up is at it again with his recent release of "Gentleman Violin cover". A song originally done by Eclipse.

Not many musicians can successfully combine  Classical violin playing into African (Nigerian) Music, but A Strings can!. Trained as a classical violinist at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, A string has gone beyond bowing out "Minuet in G" or playing "Canon In D" although he could play that too in the most smooth, authentic and expressive ways, he is that good!.

When you talk of Instrumental music in Nigeria, you usually would think of the Saxophone (everybody plays Saxophone in Nigeria, or don't you?) as the instrument that plays the runs and licks, and  the player dancing around happily to the admiration of the wedding or burial guests, but the Violin is Regal, it is for Royals, you could make love to the sound of the violin and still play "Hallelujah Chorus" with the same Violin on Sunday! The violin, in the best hands, could be the most romantic sound you'll ever hear.

Check out some of this Videos of A Stings doing his thing in Nigeria Got Talent Season  2, and spread the message if you like it. Remember, word of mouth is still a good old way to encourage an artist.
